2023 WILDCAT FOOTBALL PREVIEW

There will be some long standing familiar faces missing on the sidelines this year for the Salina Wildcats football team with the graduating class of 2023 moving on but every season's team always has its own unique identity and personality and this year's team is no different. The 2023 Salina Football team will be a young group looking to go out and prove themselves this season. "I am really excited to see these guys compete! They are a younger group with only four seniors but they are chomping at the bit to start the season!", Coach Saiz said. The four seniors this year are Maverick Williamson, Payton House, Joseph Robbins and Tyler Strickland. They are looking to leave their mark on the program and continue to raise the standard of Salina football. "We will lean on our four senior's leadership throughout the season but we are excited to see some younger guys step up as well." Salina kicks off the 2023 campaign August 25th against Quapaw at 8pm! Homecoming festivities will start before the game at 6:50pm.
