2023 Football Season
The 2023 season didn’t end the way that we wanted it to but there was tremendous growth among our young Wildcat football team! On a team with only 4 seniors and 4 returning starters on either side of the ball, a lot of young/inexperienced guys had to step up into either a starting role or rotate and play a lot. I am very proud of the way that these guys responded to this challenge. I am also very proud of the way the seniors led and were the example for so many on our team. They did things the right way and will be missed!
Season Highlight: I would say without a doubt in my mind that beating Rejoice is probably everyone’s favorite game from this season! Our team came out and play like their hair was on fire and executed the game plan to perfection! I am sure that that was a really fun game to play in and to watch from the crowd! It was definitely a blast to coach in and see our guys have so much success!
I think that there is so much to build on moving forward from what was accomplished this season! The seniors will be greatly missed but the foundation that they set for the future of Salina football will be imperative to all of the success that is to come! We are very excited to back to work, grinding toward the 2024 season!
